Floating in any pool, Lake Muskoka or sitting on the beach are cherished memories.

Yvette loved her Benjamin Moore paint chips and her HGTV! She loved organizing family road trips with the kids to Ocean City, North Carolina, Florida or other places where Joel could combine business or use their Holiday Inn points. The home was always in the middle of the next decorating project. Yvette was a great hostess filling the home with life, love and laughter. And being Grandma was her favourite role yet! She was so proud of her kids for the people they are today. She considered her children to be her greatest achievement. Yvette loved being a stay-at-home mom and attending every sporting event, recital, school and church program. Settling in Beamsville, she married Joel in 1986 and they built a beautiful life together – their love was an example to everyone who knew them. Yvette grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, an honour student at every level and grade eight valedictorian. Loved sister-in-law of Jeralyn Enns (David), Alan Van Weelden (Pamela), Patricia Nightingale (Robert), and Susan Van Weelden. Also survived by brother Claus (Manuela), sisters Karen Young (Hugh), Catherine Compton (Steven), Jan Balch (Clare), Julia Veenstra (Doug) and many nieces and nephews. Loving grandma of Rafael, Adalynn and Arie. Cherished mom of Benjamin (Claudia), Jillian, Malorie DeBruyne (Zack) and Megan George (Kyle). Yvette passed away peacefully in her 56th year on September 3, 2022.
